Welcome to Santa Fe College's Digital Media Technology PGY 2801, Electronic Still Photography. During the next 8 weeks you will first learn the basics digital SLR camera operation, and fast, practical workflow to support the image-making process. Then we'll discuss some of the formal aspects of image making, composition, light and lighting, portraiture, and many other topics. We will also be planning, designing, and producing images suitable for  use by the student graphic designer, directed towards print, the web, and other media. 
This website is meant to be an easily accessible resource for the class, and will be constantly updated.

Photography Glossary Some assignments can be photographed outdoors and some indoors, but some will require the use of the Santa Fe College photo studio. This facility is located on the first floor on Building N, near the stairs.
The Photo Studio should be open on  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00am to 4:00pm and Fridays 9:00 to 2.  Eric Ross will be there to help you.

You will need to make an appointment with Kelly Cartier in the Digital Media Technology office, N309.
